Professor, Computer Science and Engineering – Texas A&M University

Research Interests
Ricardo Gutierrez-Osuna is professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University. He has broad research interests in signal processing, machine learning and human perception, with an emphasis on understanding how man-made and biological sensor systems interact with, learn from, and adapt to their environments. Research in his group that is aligned with the Center for Remote Health Technologies and Systems (CRHTS) mission includes: wearable sensors systems to monitor psychophysiological stress, game- and music-based biofeedback techniques to teach relaxation skills, and remote tools for speech therapy in childhood apraxia.
